I'm genuinely convinced growing up playing Professor Layton helped me become a better and kinder person, because when you see a character like him in a video game you can't help but want to resemble him at least a bit
They’ll kill me for saying this but if you’re good enough at your job you can roll in a few minutes late with an iced coffee on a regular basis and no one says shit about it
Game development keeps getting longer while game careers keep getting shorter.
Plus, overseas outsourcing is replacing the Junior roles that used to create future Seniors.
When those lines finally fucking meet, the West Coast games industry will become Detroit's car industry.
this is the hatsune miku that grew alongside me bro. that's my beloved ethereal futuristic robot diva from another dimension who came to me through my computer screen in 2011 bro. that's literally her bro i love her so much
Pixtube is out now!
A few people asked for a standalone version, so I decided to turn it into a proper release.
You can draw pixel art, switch between Raw / CRT / Split views, mess around with CRT simulation and retro signal effects, and generally make pixels look weird and fun.
The CRT and analog signal simulation is built on shaders I’ve been developing and refining for around two years 😳
It includes Composite and RF signal processing, 240p / 480i display simulation, and more — and I plan to keep improving it over time.
It also includes pixtube-player, so you can throw your own images, GIFs, and videos into it and run them through 240p, 480i, NES, PC-88, Composite, RF, etc.
I use Pixtube myself, so I’ll keep working on it and improving it as I go.
