KYC -- Our only reason for existence as citizen
Govt & RBI has found excellent ways to keep all citizens busy:
Do KYC / Re-KYC / Re-re KYC ... You never know which account would be frozen when.
I have realized apart from paying tax (if you earn) or getting doles (if you don't earn enough) your main duty as citizen to prove again again again & again that you are genuine, alive, mentally stable and physically sound.
No govt nowhere in the world (I travelled enough & lived in many places) are so caring about its citizens! We all should thank the brilliant minds who formulated this grand idea! How to keep an entire nation busy doing KYC in very complicated ways.
We should be grateful to the Govt for creating such brilliant innovative & noble idea of repeated KYC.
No wonder we are doing wonders in science, technology, innovation & what not!!!
Amrit Kaal re-KYC utsav!!
The Wire's instagram account was blocked in India after they posted this cartoon critical of Modi.
I request all of you to not share it, because the Supreme leader clearly doesn't like it.
There will come a time when every Indian, especially the youth, will reject the BJP and look back on the Modi era with deep regret.
Let’s not forget that a vast majority of those who spoke ill of Manmohan Singh between 2004 and 2014 already regret those thoughts. In fact, most have come to recognize the quiet dignity of a statesman who prioritized economic stability over personal optics, especially given the circumstances he was in and the challenges of an alliance Govt.
I believe, and firmly believe that one day - young India will most regret the systematic erosion of India’s social fabric.
By institutionalizing division based on religion and identity, the BJP government has traded India’s long-term national unity for short-term electoral gains.
Future generations will realize that while they were promised “Viksit Bharat”, they were given a polarized society where trust between neighbors was replaced by suspicion, and where the energy of the youth was diverted toward religious friction rather than solving the looming crises of unemployment and inequality.
I believe for various reasons Modi’s days are now numbered, and he will take the entire BJP down with him, every single member of BJP. The day this party is routed, their candidates will be so ashamed that they will hesitate to even step out of their homes.
If none of what I have said comes to pass, I personally have nothing to lose. However, I will be very sad for India.
This requires a police case with arrests , an inquiry within the CISF about the failure of its Jawans to protect passengers and apprehend assailants & explanations from Delhi Airport.
An internal enquiry within an airline will solve nothing.
@AirIndiaX, today one of your pilots, Capt. Virender Sejwal, assaulted me physically at T1, Delhi Airport.
Here are the facts of the matter,:
🔸 Me & my family were guided to use the security check that the staff uses (also the PRM check), because we had a 4 month old baby in a stroller.
🔸 The staff was cutting the queue ahead of me. On calling them out, Capt. Virender, who himself was doing the same thing, asked me if I was anpadh (uneducated), and couldn't read the signs that said this entry was for staff.
🔸 A verbal scuffle broke out.
🔸 Not able to excercise restraint, the AIX pilot proceeded to physically assault me, leaving me bloody. The blood in the photograph (first comment) on his shirt is also mine.
Here are my issues with the whole thing:
🔹 My holiday is ruined. The first thing I have done here is see a doctor.
🔹 My 7 year old daughter, who saw her father get assaulted brutally, is still traumatized & scared.
🔹 I have no clue how @DGCAIndia & @AirIndiaX can allow such pilots to fly. If they can't keep their cool in a scuffle, can they be trusted with the lives of hundreds of people in the sky?
🔹 How can @DelhiAirport get away with such mismanagement, combining staff entry with passengers carrying infants, creating chaos at a sensitive security area? I thought Airports were safe places!
🔹 I was forced to write a letter stating that I will not pursue this matter further ... It was either write that letter, or miss my flight and throw the 1.2 lakhs holiday bookings down the drain. @DelhiPolice, why can't I file a complaint after coming back? Must I sacrifice my money too, to seek justice? Will the CCTV footage disappear in the 2 days till I make it back to Delhi?
To my friends & well wishers, I am pretty shaken, but nothing permanent. Can't say the same about my daughter though. 😢
I was high on India’s growth story. But not anymore.
For years, I thought we were on the right path, it’s only that we’re a poor country (thanks to colonisation) but as our income grows everything will change. And that’s going to happen soon. We’ll have great infrastructure, cleaner roads, efficient systems and whatnot.
But lately I’ve been feeling it’s just a story being fed to us, the change isn’t actually coming. The slow growth that we see, that’s not going to change anytime soon- in fact, it might get worse.
Simply because corruption is too ingrained in the system and scarcity mindset supersedes our desire to do better for each other. Every single time.
It’s not our fault. Good behaviour starts at the top.
When our politicians and their rallies leave roads dirty, I can’t expect an average Indian to take the ‘Clean India Mission’ seriously.
It pinches me when I pay tax because I know it’s not just being used to build better infrastructure, it’s going to someone’s pocket too. I would love to pay more tax, but all I ask for is more transparency into where it’s being used.
Every time I interact with a govt institution, I am left in awe of how inefficient and opaque the processes are. It’s a nightmare to get things done if you have good ethics. ‘Additional fee’ is almost always expected to move anything. And there's unnecessary focus on language that also sometimes dictates how you're treated.
Just recently, my neighbour lost their only son (22 yrs old) to a pothole accident, within 6 hours that particular pothole was covered, while all others around it weren’t. And within weeks, that one pothole is also back to the same condition. Imagine how they must feel. We talk about taking care of our citizens- it’s almost a JOKE.
My friends keep telling me govt is focussing on bigger problems right now, but I have never really understood what those are. If you know the answer- please educate me.
With AI and humanoids taking over in the next decade or so, we’re pretty much doomed. We will end up with millions of jobless Indians and I don’t expect the govt to do anything about it. Maybe they’ll prevent humanoids from becoming a reality in India the same way they don’t want self-driving cars.
The only way I see us doing better is if entrepreneurs take charge of building better systems, funding research, improving healthcare and driving more innovation against all odds. All around me, young ambitious Indians are driving real change, and I am so freakin proud of our entrepreneurs. We need to celebrate them more for trying, for failing.
For privileged Indians like me, we live in a bubble of our mostly privatised world and that’s nice because 80% of our time is spent at home/office. So I am not complaining about my life, this is not a rant. I truly want my country to do better, and I don’t see it happening rn. I'd love to know where I'm wrong.
Until then, I hope India is thriving in some other universe, because I really believe she can.
₹7,500 Crores!
That’s the cost of dumping ₹10,000 each into 75 lakh women’s accounts in Bihar this Navratri. PM Modi & CM Nitish will press a button and act like they’re gifting from their own pockets.
Reality? This isn’t BJP’s or Nitish’s money. It’s taxpayers’ sweat and blood. The same taxpayers crushed under GST, cess, fuel loot, tolls, and endless taxes.
Instead of fixing Bihar’s broken roads, failed schools, collapsing hospitals, or creating jobs, they throw OUR money as freebies to buy votes.
This isn’t governance. It’s vote-bank bribery with public funds.
A total scam on democracy

@joinabound Hey @joinabound do you guys even respond to your customer with something substantial or do you just keep sending pre drafted replies. Have been sending money to India using various platforms without an issue since many years but Abound services are pathetic...no updates at all
