Sometimes, I can’t help but wonder if Myanmar fans are being overlooked because we may not be able to show our support on the same scale as fans from other countries. 💔
The truth is, despite the difficult political situation in our country, we Myanmar fans still try our best to support GMMTV. We save up our pocket money, little by little, to buy the beautiful merchandise they release every month. Every purchase means something to us because it comes from the money we work hard to save and the love we have for the artists we support.
Whenever there is a trending event, we Myanmar fans do our best to participate too. We stand together, support our favorites, and show our love in every way we can. We may come from a country facing so many difficulties, but that doesn’t mean our love, effort, and support are any less meaningful.
We are not asking for special treatment. We are not asking to be more important than anyone else. All we want is for our Myanmar cultural heritage to be acknowledged and given the proper recognition and credit it deserves.
We come from a country that is struggling in so many ways, yet we still hold our culture close to our hearts. Our heritage is part of our identity, and we deserve to see it respected and recognized.
Please don’t measure our love only by how much we can spend or how loudly we can make ourselves heard. Behind every small purchase, every trending hashtag, and every effort to support our favorites, there are Myanmar fans who are trying their best despite everything happening around them.
We may be a small fandom from a country facing difficult times, but our culture is not insignificant, and our heritage deserves to be recognized. 🇲🇲❤️
All we ask for is acknowledgment, respect, and proper cultural credit. Is that really too much to ask?

Just a random thought, but if I were Thai, I would honestly be furious about this issue. Just think about it: this was a great opportunity to showcase your own culture and traditions, yet the production chose to use another country’s traditional costumes instead. What a shame+++
Ever since I started watching Thai BL series, Thailand has always been the first country on my travel bucket list. I’ve always felt happy knowing that Thailand is our neighboring country, and I’ve dreamed of visiting the place that has brought me so much happiness through the people and stories I love.
Sometimes, I feel sad thinking that if my country weren’t going through such difficult political circumstances, maybe our favorite artists could come to Myanmar for fan meetings, and we could meet them right here in our own country. But instead of giving up on that dream, I’ve been working hard and doing my best to save money so that one day, I can travel to Thailand and meet the people I admire.
That’s why it hurts so much to see our cultural heritage being used as inspiration in a series while the calls for recognition and proper cultural credit seem to go unheard. As a Myanmar fan, this is not just about a series. It’s about our culture, our identity, our heritage, and the respect it deserves.
We are not asking for anything unreasonable. We simply want our cultural heritage to be acknowledged and given the recognition it deserves. Our culture is part of who we are, and seeing it represented on screen should be something we can feel proud of, not something that leaves us feeling unheard.
Cultural appreciation should always come with cultural recognition. Our heritage deserves respect, acknowledgment, and proper credit. 🇲🇲❤️
