Juneteenth is now a national holiday. It’s hard not to forget the decade long opposition to making Martin Luther King, Jr. Day a federal holiday in the 1970s. I guess black holidays are not as threatening as voting rights and police reform.
@MattWalshBlog The Bay Area has a rich history with Kwanzaa, starting in 1967. If you know anything about Kamala and her parents, and the Black Power Movement, you would know why she’s telling the truth about her involvement. Read Keith Mayes’ book on Kwanzaa and Black Power.
Thank you @Leahtommi for raising your voice and calling attention the role anti-racism must play to put our world on a more sustainable and equitable path. CEOs of green groups (myself included) have work to do! https://t.co/H2XeENA8E5
@RonnyJackson4TX must know Biden will win in November and will fire his ass on day 1. If he makes it to Congress, the dems will politically neutralize this partisan quack.
The other pandemic that must be fought is the killing of black men without cause; a 25-year-old jogger shot in what appears to be a racially motivated, first-degree murder attack.

#JusticeForAhmaudArbery
Malcolm X still relevant and still speaking truth to power about police violence, the criminal justice system and everything White Supremacist in America today.
#JusticeForAhmaudArbery
Let's not sugarcoat this shit.
We all KNOW.
If this was a WHITE jogger that got AMBUSHED by two black guys with big guns; they would be sitting in jail, possibly waiting execution.
I say, Don't wait for #JusticeForAhmaudArbery to happen, GET JUSTICE NOW. just saying.
@KFILE Hypocrisy, disingenuous, fraudulent, insincerity, liars, charlatans, deceivers, etc. Just not enough adjectives and nouns to describe these people.
@msnbc better fire Alison Morris. No way in hell the ‘Los Angeles niggers’ was a mistake. Y’all been holding it down on the Trump presidency since 2016 but y’all got me f’ed up on this one. Racism torments black people even in death.
The GOP tactic in these hearings is to muck up the proceedings, delay, turn it into a hard-to-follow circus, so viewers tune out.
Stick with it. Drown-out the clownish made-for-tv maneuvers and disruptions. This is important. It’s history in the making. It’s democracy in action.
"What, to the American slave, is your 4th of July? I answer; a day that reveals to him, more than all other days in the year, the gross injustice and cruelty to which he is the constant victim." -Frederick Douglass

Does it matter who we credit when we pay tribute to the 14th Amendment? You bet it does. Black Americans built the nation's legal culture leading up to 1868 by their persistent day-to-day claims to citizenship. #BirthrightCitizens https://t.co/GY7MpRB8Ik
“I love America more than any other country in the world and, exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually.” - James Baldwin
