Today's "Odd Tank" is the 🇩🇪 German 'Federung Versuchsträger'

Built in the 1970's, the Federung Versuchsträger or FVT testbed was a part of the Doppelrohr-Kasemattpanzer 'DRK project' to find a possible high mobility replacement for the Leopard 1. This example was used to test energy storage, the suspension system and coincidence firing with lasers which appear to be mounted to the fume extractor on the L7 gun. The first generation of test beds were all built on a M41 Walker Bulldog hull.
This program would also result in the creation of the better known VT1-2.

It is unknown if the 105mm L7 gun on the FVT was a fully functioning gun.
