What is your vision?
Contrary to the common trend in WEB3 of neglecting either artistic design or functional longevity in games, our vision is distinct. We aim to create a lasting and visually captivating gaming experience through multiple game modes, appealing to a broader audience. Simultaneously, we acknowledge the challenge of branding and marketing. We are committed to addressing this by ensuring a strategic approach, that fits WEB3 in order to promote our games effectively while maintaining a strong focus on the IP development.
What is your mission?
We intend to build a successful IP, mainly by keeping users engaged with regular releases of content and Uke themed mini-games.
The core aspects we intend to focus on for a successful delivery of the mission are
- Story telling
- Visual appeal
- Brand consistency
- Emotional connection
- Entertainment
- Community Building
We mainly use animations and content to convey our brand and make a significant impact on our audience.
Uke Uke? The name was specifically chosen for brand recognition. Establishing an emotional connection is crucial for building a strong brand, and animation is an excellent tool for eliciting emotions. Our goal is to have our animations evoke a meaningful emotional response.
Brand consistency is paramount in delivering a brand message. We ensure that our animation style, tone, and visuals align consistently with our brand identity and the overarching theme of the Uke Uke universe.
$SOUL Economic model
We decided to sacrifice the short term profitability for long term sustainability, How? Treasure chests.
They are the foundation of all rewards in the Uke Uke ecosystem. One of the main problems of other gaming ecosystems, are the constant token emissions that eventually lead to a death spiral of the token, instead of releasing tokens directly to the users, we decided to try something new, give players NFTs which release tokens at a constant rate. Giving these NFTs intrinsic value and also fixing liquidity draining issues with the constant token emissions seen traditionally.
Game progress
Web socket server for the multiplayer map movement tracking has been completed, this was the most time consuming part of the game.
We have moved on to the game mechanics and logic, testing will start February. We recently partnered with @PixelCoveStudio a pixel-based art studio set to provide assets for our upcoming game. They specialize in crafting a variety of visuals, from 1/1s to personalized banners and collections.
Uke Uke ๐๏ธ
We are excited for the reveal, and so should you! Ever since we started the development of Uke Uke, our main focus has always been to deliver high quality NFTs and trailers. Let's take a dive into the collection ๐
A year in the making
The Uke Uke Shamans are a result of a year of hard work and screen time, we have changed the initial concept countless times to be able to reach the final result, modeling the NFT in itself does not take much time, but we were not satisfIed with our early drafts and kept improving them overtime. Every single body type was modelled but we chose to stick with the current model.
Concept art
Concept art plays a crucial role in the 3D animation pipeline, serving as a foundational step that influences the entire production process. Before starting, we took our time conceptualizing and choosing the perfect community centered theme, as a result, we ended up choosing Shamans because of the Tribal aspect and PFP'ability which serves a foundation for community building and branding, opening the door to develop the story and evolve the IP.
Body Modelling
Basing ourselves on the concept art, we started to model our first iteration of the Shaman body. Although it sounds straightforward, we were not satisfied with the results, so we had to further develop our model. In a thorough process, we managed to come up with what we believe is the perfect body. Simultaneously, we were creating the assets for the NFTs, which had to be adjusted every time we changed the model. Trial and error.
Assets
Similar to the body modelling, assets had to be sketched based on historical references from Ancient civilisations ie Mayans/Aztecs/Tiki etc... Modelling the assets was one of the most time consuming part, however, our emphasis was on curating a collection that features both variety and distinctive characteristics. With over a 160 attributes, we are proud to say that we have nailed it.
Tribes/ Skins
Tribes are an important aspect of the entire collection, they serve as a base for community building and team work which we have specifically designed for our future games and community events. Primarily, tribes allow us to split the community into sub-communities which will add the element of PVP, Tribe v Tribe, elections, and future implementations in our games as in tournaments, while also serving a story element. There are more than 40 unique skins in the entire collection.
Animation
Instead of a simple 3D image, we wanted bring life into our NFTs, which is a tough a time consuming process. Animation helped us portray the vibe of the entire Uke Uke universe through the Shaman NFTs. The process of animating a Shaman is intricate, unlike a typical 3D character, it has other difficulties. The main reason would be the body fat, which has to be animated in a way that looks natural without having to use simulations. In addition to this, we have 160+ assets which all have to be rigged to the character and weight painted accordingly.
VFX
Visual effects play a crucial role in enhancing and bringing life to animation. Every weapon animation has multiple visual effects.
Bringing it all together
The final step in this long and arduous process, is matching the colour palette of all the assets and tribes in order to obtain a visually appealing NFT that respects it's mother tribe. We have worked hard on the collection in order to make the Commons and 1/1 indistinguishable. Every NFT has 180 frames each, which is 7 seconds long, multiplying that by the amount of NFTs result in โ 990 000 frames and over 10 hours of watch time.
The reveal
We know that you guys can't wait for this amazing collection to be revealed, however we are making sure the collection is top notch. We want the reveal to be an epic event on it's own, as we believe it is a celebration of what we have worked on. We will be announcing the exact reveal date in a follow up post tomorrow... Reveal will be this week ๐ฟ
