They arrested Malami, who served as a minister for only eight years, and have already confiscated 48 properties.

They also arrested El-Rufai, who served as a director for four years, a minister for four years, and a governor for eight years, yet they haven’t confiscated even a pen.

I am neither a fool nor blind. El-Rufai has said investigators have spoken to people who worked with him and have used every means at their disposal to find evidence against him. Yet, to this day, they haven’t produced any.

Say what you will about the man, but if he says he isn’t a thief, you have no basis to call him a liar.

I haven’t seen a Nigerian politician who held offices of that magnitude and has been this difficult to implicate in corruption.

These are kidnapped victims from Ariko Village, Kaduna State. ALLEGEDLY, tens of them were kidnapped, and some are dead in the hands of the kidnappers.

The sad part is not the silence from the media, but the double hypocrisy. When Malam @elrufai was the governor, irritants like @SKefason would have blamed him for this more than their blame the President. But today, their Burkutu smelly mouths are all shut because the narrative won't go as they'd want it to.

Let me tell you how it happened. Nigeria’s ginger export hit zero from N26 billion within 3 years.

The official story blames fungal blight.

But here is what actually happened. When Nigerian farmers lost their indigenous seed supply, grant-aided interventions arrived with replacement seeds.

An associate professor at Lagos Business School flagged publicly that some of those interventions involved GMO organisms that weakened indigenous crops and compromised soil health.

That is not a conspiracy theory because it is a documented academic concern.

Now that Nigeria spoke got destroyed by the GMO seedlings….what is not the result?

Nigeria was forced to import ginger from China to fill domestic demand. Chinese ginger has none of the pungency, oleoresin content, or quality that made Nigerian ginger a global premium product. And the ginger now sitting in Nigerian markets tastes like wood because it essentially is wood.

The two indigenous varieties that built Nigeria’s global ginger reputation, the Tafin Giwa and Yatsun Biri, had decades of soil relationship and quality built into them.

Once the soil was degraded and those seed varieties were displaced, the product that returned was a pale imitation. Nigeria did not just lose a market. It lost a seed. And without a National Ginger Seed Bank, which nobody has built, it may never fully get it back.

Ever since Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and his battalion left the state, the momentum that once made Kaduna one of the most economically vibrant and competitive states in Northern Nigeria seems to have faded.

There was a time when Kaduna attracted investments, witnessed massive infrastructure development, improved internally generated revenue, and became a reference point for reforms and urban renewal. Today, many people feel the state has lost direction, with declining public confidence, slower development, and fewer bold policies driving growth and innovation.

Whether people agreed with Mallam’s style of leadership or not, it is difficult to deny that his administration brought energy, vision with young minds and aggressive reforms that kept Kaduna constantly in national discussions for development and economic progress.
