From cracked windshields to downed trees and power lines, last night's storms certainly packed a punch. ⛈️
But your City of Phoenix crews are hard at work today trimming trees, clearing debris and making sure public right-of-ways are clear for you. To report things like storm debris or traffic signal outages from the storm, you can find contact information at https://t.co/GKptYtdXFb.
Honored to join Arizona’s Indian American community on Sunday for Bathukamma, a flower festival from the state of Telangana. We also celebrated the AZ Telangana Association’s 21st anniversary with Sen. Priya Sundareshan and @MayorGallego.

Arizona's largest law firm, Snell & Wilmer, is suing Phoenix on behalf of its data center client, WBR, over the City’s ability to protect neighborhoods from the negative impacts of data centers. Today, we won an important partial victory in the case.
There’s more work to do, but Phoenix will continue to work to protect our residents and ensure that when data centers are built, it’s done safely.
Every year, thousands of people come together at the Phoenix Greek Festival to enjoy delicious Greek food, spectacular performances and a celebration of Greek culture and heritage. I was proud to join this year’s festivities and present a proclamation recognizing the festival’s 65th anniversary. Here’s to 65 years of bringing people together in Phoenix and many more to come. Opa! 🇬🇷

G.A.I.N. Day is one of my favorite opportunities each year to connect with Phoenix families, neighborhood leaders and Phoenix police officers. I visited seven neighborhoods this weekend to hear directly from residents about what they’re seeing in their communities and how we can do better at City Hall. These conversations are an important part of building stronger and safer neighborhoods.
The chips that power our phones, computers, cars and so much more are being made right here in Phoenix.

The future of semiconductors is taking shape, and Phoenix is at the center of it!
I joined more than 1,000 decision-makers at the SEMICON West CEO Summit to share how Phoenix is driving the next generation of innovation, advanced manufacturing, and semiconductor leadership.
Starting in late March 2027, Phoenix becomes the new home of SEMICON West, and I look forward to welcoming the world’s semiconductor leaders to see all that’s being built in Phoenix!
Arizona’s election workers must be able to do their jobs safely and without fear, especially with voting already underway. I’m grateful for the first responders who took the call and are investigating this serious situation, and hope that we can keep everyone who runs our elections safe from harm.

I’m incredibly honored to receive the Jon W. McGarity Arizona Bioscience Leader of the Year award.
When my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, bioscience became deeply personal to me and a major part of my policy platform. I believe that families shouldn’t have to travel out of state for the best care. That’s why I’m so proud of our investments in Phoenix’s rapidly growing bioscience core, including ASU Health and the new University of Arizona Medical Innovations Building, where we added the final beam just last week.
I’m grateful to my Council colleagues, our City team, and the researchers, clinicians and entrepreneurs helping advance healthcare and create new possibilities for patients and families.

For nearly two decades, Ted Simons has been a trusted voice as host of Arizona Horizon. He’s fair, principled, and never shies away from the tough questions that deserve answers. Phoenix will miss him on the air, but I wish him all the best in this next chapter.

Last weekend, I joined @CWAnnOBrien and members of our community at ASU’s West Valley campus for the largest Double Ten Day event in North America. We enjoyed an incredible drone show. I was proud to issue a proclamation recognizing Double Ten Day and the lasting friendship between Phoenix and Taiwan.
