Hi everyone! Yesterday, history was made at USW! as I had my official first lecture with international students. In many ways, it feels like a win for everyone here, as we have all strived for excellence, but again, this is a sample of what could happen if we strived for excellence and engaged properly, be it as an industry expert or academic researcher.

Though I have been a shadow lecturer for months now, the feeling yesterday was surreal and overwhelming to see the potential in people and what they can become. An academic mentor of mine, Sakina, was present and made a beautiful post about it on LinkedIn. I want you all (if you can) to read, like, and comment on the post. This is proof that if we engage properly, we can have extraordinary opportunities that we think are probably for a few elites, especially in the UK.

In the next few months, my desire is to create those opportunities across the UK with sponsorship and mentoring and to hopefully create a mental shift in international students, especially those in management courses.

So watch out in this space. Believe me, management in industry and academia, especially in the UK, is one of the best places to experience life.
