The @EU_Commission invited @B_Gomes_ to present our project at the 'Innovative Palliative Care for People with Cancer' conference. EOLinPLACE results, showing a growing trend of home deaths, support key recommendations to invest in community-based #palliativecare

Last Friday, @Mayradelalibera presented her research on Portuguese stakeholders' perspectives on places of #EoL care and death in Portugal at the #ACPC2024 Congress 🔥

So pleased to see this work out! 🤩

Much needed evidence showing a rise of home death during the pandemic across 23 countries, but in some of them before that too. More home support is needed.

Thanks to @SilviaLopes30 for leading the work, and to @ERC_Research for funding it.

🏻 Great to see the new @OECD Health at Glance highlight end of life care indicators incl. place of death. Pleased our project contributed - cautious with country comparisons as place of death classifications vary.

Also good ref. to @TheLancet & @libby_sallnow on value of death.

Meet Mayra Delalibera, invited researcher on our project at @UnivdeCoimbra

"This project is great for investigating care trajectories, #EOL preferences and death. I'm grateful to be part of this international team working to improve care for patients and their families."
