There is an appointed time for everyone and for everything in life.
I have come to understand that life does not always happen when we want it to happen. Sometimes, we pray, we prepare, we work, we wait, and yet nothing seems to move. We look around and wonder why someone else is getting what we have been waiting for. We begin to question our own journey, our timing, our abilities and sometimes even our worth.
Nothing happens to a man until his appointed time comes. And when that time comes, sometimes you suddenly realise why certain things did not happen earlier. Why some opportunities passed you by. Why some relationships ended. Why some doors refused to open. Why certain plans failed despite your best efforts.
Life has a way of making sense in retrospect.
But there is another lesson that is just as important: you must be prepared when your time comes. Timing alone is not enough. Opportunity meeting preparedness is what changes lives.
I am, in many ways, a testament to that.
There have been seasons when I had to wait. Seasons when I had to learn. Seasons when I had to work quietly, improve myself, build relationships, gain experience and simply keep moving even when there was no evidence that anything significant was happening.
Then, at different points, opportunities came. And when they came, I was ready.
There is also something else I have learnt along the way: bitterness can make you miss your own season.
Bitterness is expensive. It consumes energy that could have been used to build something meaningful. It keeps you emotionally connected to situations that have already happened while life is moving forward without you.
You cannot spend your present fighting battles that ended in the past and still have enough peace to build your future. At some point, you have to let go.
There is no wisdom in spending your life trying to prove something to people who have already decided what they want to believe about you. There is no peace in constantly comparing your journey with another person's journey. There is no happiness in measuring your worth by what somebody else has achieved.
I was sent out of Canada
Yes that’s why I came back home a few months ago
Yep, you read that right.
So I came into Canada with a spousal open work permit. And when it was about to expire, we applied for an extension.
And we were just about our business waiting for the extension to come out only for us to get a rejection mail. This came at a crucial time as there was a change of government and rapid immigration policy changes.
Omo, everywhere first blur. Premium tears everywhere
We did not see it coming at all. And I had a few days to leave the country ASAP.
My husband wanted to start running around seeing how to appeal the rejection without me leaving but I just told him “babe let’s leave it. I’ll go.”
I was not sure what God was doing but I trusted Him. And so I came back to Nigeria.
I went about my Fathers business like nothing dey sup. Trusting the one who has called me.
Then the dots began to connect.
Then came Covabodi festival. You know how that went to the glory of God
Then came brand ambassadorial roles.
If I tell you the other things God helped me achieve in this trip ehn, you’ll open your mouth in wonder.
Like, I began to understand that Canada did not send me away. God brought me back to carry out specific assignments.
One morning we woke up and I got a email.
“Congratulations Deborah, you’re now a permanent resident of Canada”
Yup. You’re looking at the latest Canadian permanent resident.
When I flew into Canada last week, I bounced in there like a madam.
I’m sharing this testimony to let you know that you need to trust God completely with your life.
You see that scripture that says all things work together for good? I need you to believe it with everything inside of you
Your wedding plans scattered? It’s working for your good
They served you breakfast? It’s working for your good
You did not get that opportunity? It’s working for your good.
Be pro-active, play your part, send in the application, do all that you should do and leave the rest to God
You may not see what God is doing in the moment, but as long as you’re faithfully serving and following God, just trust Him.
The dots will connect
And you will look and say “oh, Father so this is what you had in mind.”
Celebrate with me jare. God don run am🥳🥳
PS: Peep my resident card🥰
Blessings!
Let me say a few things.
A man that approaches a lady for the first time, saying that he wants to date you for marriage, may be a potential red flag.
Especially if the lady is in her late 20s and 30s.
When a lady is at this stage in her life, she becomes an easy prey for
You’ll not enter any relationship that will be a waste of your time.
If it is not good for you, I hide you from it.
Experience will not be your best teacher, the Holy Spirit is and will be.
I am praying for all the sisters that want to get married within the next one year! I pray that God will give you a spouse that’s deserving of you and Loves God 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

For as many who are ready, May you meet and marry genuine matured children of God.
A person who chooses you everyday, no matter what.
A person who understands what forgiveness is.
A person who forgives you even before the wrong happens.
A person who knows from day one, that it is two of you against whatever the challenge is.
Dear future wife,
I just finished Hallelujah Challenge, Day 6, and it was amazing. Tonight, we prayed for healing—not just for the sicknesses we know about, but even for the ones that may try to come in the future. I felt God’s presence so powerfully, and it reminded me of how faithful He is to keep us and protect us, even in ways we don’t always see.
After every night of the challenge, after the prayers and the worship, I take a moment to whisper a special prayer for you. I ask God to keep you safe, to hold you close to Him, and to guide your steps every single day. Even though we’ve not said we do, I’m already covering you in prayer, trusting that God is preparing the both of us for the day when we’ll finally share these moments together.
I can’t wait for the time when we’ll join hands and lift our voices in worship as one. I look forward to those days when I won’t need to turn to the world or ask people on Twitter what’s right or wrong, because I’ll have you. I’ll be able to say, “My wife, what do you think about this? What is the best way forward?” Knowing I have you beside me will be a blessing beyond words.
And I know you’re a good thing, cause God has promised me so.
I just wanted you to know that you’re in my heart. You never leave my thoughts, and I am eager for the future God has for us. Until that day comes, I’ll keep praying, keep trusting, and keep preparing.
With all my love and prayers,
DD

We're just on Day 4 of #HallelujahChallenge and one of my requests is already being answered!! I'll come back and quote when the testimony is complete❤️🫶🏾
Tomorrow Is Dress Your Miracle.
If you don’t understand what that is, ask somebody.
Act it.
It’ll sound or look funny to others, till you follow it up with a testimony.

You too will testify, in Jesus name.
Next Year Shiloh 2025
- Winning at soul winning
- With my God-given husband
- A more fulfilling job
- Our own home with at least one bun in the oven (our first baby bump)
- Victory on all sides
- life is good!!!
I'll come back to quote this because God has answered my prayers
“Whatever you do, pray for the ability to see your own sins, your own hypocrisy, and your own shortcomings.
Never lose sight of that- never get carried away pointing fingers that you forget you, too, have the abscesses that need tending.”
