Everyone knows / has heard about CPR.....
But do u know about E-CPR?
It is 10x form of CPR.
E-CPR is a form of CPR that can be used if a person has an arrest ( no pulse) in a hospital .
Doctors hook up a machine, called ECMO ( pronounced EKmo) (extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation), through the patient's blood vessels that then takes care of the pt's oxygen needs/circulation.
It requires specialized machines and trained doctors. It is important for the patient's family to give permission for E-CPR early enough, else it may be too late to save the person.

This technology is not new and is even used in special ambulances abroad.
In India, it is slowly catching on. In a city line Mumbai, <10 hospitals offer this life saving technology.
