I came across this incredible inspirational talk that football coach Joshua Paul gave his U11 players, and HAD to share it!!

At every stage of life, it’s easy to let ourselves be pulled down by negativity. We tend to internalise other people’s issues, rather than taking a step back and asking, “is this really my problem?” 🤔

Positivity is always an answer even when the question is the opposite.

Helping young people build that mindset early can shape how they handle life long after the pitch.

Depression doesn’t always look like sadness.
Sometimes it’s:
– Constant brain fog
– Leaving laundry in the machine for 3 days
– Not remembering the last time you laughed
– Saying “I’m fine” and meaning “I’m drowning”
– Feeling exhausted from doing nothing
– Crying when no one’s around
– Wanting connection but isolating anyway

Callum from Heath Rangers Barca U16s has been out of football for 12 mths since being diagnosed with cancer.

He asked his manager if he could play in the quarter final of the cup for 10 minutes today. His manager put him on for the last 20 minutes, and he scored 2 goals, got 1 assist, and also got man of the match.
