@Galaxy_Sailor I’m no expert on the subject, but what I’ve picked up in passing is that the main US refineries are in Texas/ Louisiana along the Gulf or up in Alaska. We probably have one in or closer to Oregon, since our gas is cheaper than in California, for instance.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@Galaxy_Sailor My understanding is that we don’t refine oil in Oregon, but we do have a lot of facilities (mostly holding/ transport) for Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) that can LOOK like oil refineries.
If we DO refine oil, I imagine it’s part of defense reserves rather than for commercial use 🙁
@Galaxy_Sailor Not on my watch. Doing what I can as a producer to pay people their rate (and encourage them to increase it if they’re lowballing!) and take care of them both on set and off.
Anyone who tells you a producer’s job is to “protect budget” should stay the hell away from producing.

I was thinking of some quippy clever way to summarize Twitter and I came up with this derivative doggerel:
“If you shout into the void, the void shouts also into you”
but for me I spend far more time following other people so I’m just okay with getting shouted at apparently
Oil & Avg Gas $ June 2008:
•Oil: $181.58/barrel
•Gas: $4.10/gallon
Oil & Avg Gas $ Mar 2022:
•Oil: $99.76/barrel
•Gas: $4.32/gallon
If you're blaming anyone but greedy oil companies for their price gouging—you've bought into propaganda that hurts you more than anyone else.
