Students have been accepted for the academic year 2023 and have still not been placed at Residence Buildings and as a result have been left homeless for weeks.

Earlier I posted about students sleeping in a common hall at CPUT and it’s been 2 weeks. Today the university decided to chase them out of their premises. Mind you, these are registered students who qualify for residence.

Meanwhile at CPUT.. it’s been 2 week full since students were without a place to sleep. No hope for accommodation.

10. Shortly after being approached by security, a call came in to the university instructing a staff member to evict students and let students know that they would be met with violence if they refused to leave the Dean's passage.
