@michaelloo@BigColdMike28@Thyag_a@Rainmaker1973 I researched the story, and he continue to own the land, since he partnered with local indigenous people who protects it. But I know the amazon region, and due to it's vast size there is no way to police it, illegal logging and mining is a real threat to the forest, research it.
@michaelloo@BigColdMike28@Thyag_a@Rainmaker1973 Regardless of how much money he spent, after 21 years he probably just lost it. Here is the reality of the amazon forest region, it's a lawless area, and unless he has maintained armed guards patrolling the area, it's very likely been reclaimed by the loggers.
@DrakenKet@Rainmaker1973 If every single billionaire in the world did this, then maybe it would make a difference, but one guy? Nah. He's not starting any trend, and there will be no other steps following his. By the way, this was in 2005, do you think he still owns that land?
This is not Russia
This is not Iran
This is not China
This is France > the self proclaimed country of human rights, democracy, freedom.
The same country whose elites lectures the rest of the World.
🇫🇷 This is the French cop who was punching the disabled man in a wheelchair. Expose him till he gets arrested ‼️This is Not an “incident,” not a “tense context”: it’s cowardice in uniform.‼️😡. He should be arrested immediately ‼️Shame.‼️
@JeffersonRqnb@Rainmaker1973 Nothing, and his deed is as affective as the lack of mine. I bet that after 21 years nothing is left of the land, unless he kept armed guards in the land since then, it's very likely reclaimed by illegal loggers.
@stew_bedassoo@Rainmaker1973 And unless this billionaire kept armed guards 24/7 since 2005 (21 years), he has very likely lost it all to loggers and squatters. So I affirm that his deed is irrelevant.
@stew_bedassoo@Rainmaker1973 Not a jerk, just someone with knowledge about the amazon forest. First the size, it's equivalent to 5 Texas state, of forest. Very sparsely populated. Deforestation happens at a pace of 10k acres per DAY. Lawless is rampant, just research about illegal loggers and miners.
@whitworth_zeke@Rainmaker1973 I just want people to not be impressed by certain numbers and actually think about it. Since 2005, this land has very likely been reclaimed by illegal loggers and squatters. No individual deed will make a difference to protect the amazon forest.
@richard_us59230@Rainmaker1973 Do you have a counter argument? Are you impressed by the 400k acres number? Do you know what has happened to the land since 2005? Do you know anything about the amazon forest? Than why tell me to shut up?
@GravityDave@Rainmaker1973 I don't understand your criticism, is my calculation incorrect? Is it because I think the post is a bait to impress people by a number that is insignificant in the context? Or because you disagree with my political views, which has nothing to with this post.
@2ndDragon001@Rainmaker1973 The story of my life is actually living in the middle of the amazon forest for 2 years. So i know first hand that what he's doing is irrelevant. I guarantee that after 21 years he has very likely lost the land to illegal loggers and squatters.
@Maly_Wawa@Rainmaker1973 My contribution is bringing awareness to people that what he did is nothing, the scale of the forest is incomprehensible to most people. And after 21 years, do you think he still possess the land? Very likely reclaimed by illegal loggers and squatters.
@TruckerSue615@Rainmaker1973 It's really not. Do you think that after 21 years the land is still his? I bet that at this point he has lost it all to illegal loggers and/or squatters.
@GoodyearMa27665@Rainmaker1973 His deed are as effective as ours, it makes zero difference. And I want to bet he has already lost the land to illegal loggers and squatters.
@Pyro321Walt@Rainmaker1973 The idea that he's protecting anything is laughable, after 21 years he has very likely lost it all to illegal loggers, illegal mining, and squatters.
