Its easier for us (the new generation) to understand how older things worked than for people from the old generation to understand how new things work.

I believe because of this, is a sign of respect for the work the old generation did , to not engage in this discussion and just let them share their opinion, and try to relate as much as you can.

Im confident a lot of the new generation players, including myself, would also do really good in the older games if we put the same amount of effort, is just fighting games at the end of the day.

But this discussion is pointless because we will never be born 10 years before to compete earlier and the older players wont return to their prime again.
