It’s been a journey. I first thought up something like @ccskej in 2009. I registered the domain in 2011. I’d kicked around the concept in various incarnations for over a decade.

Almost exactly a year ago, we decided to pursue it– me, @JCanetti, and @simonbaumer. We talked to the people that had tried to build something like this before– @chappaquack and @alexpoon_hk . They agreed, the time was right.

It was actually an hours long conversation with GPT-4 that pushed me over the edge– not only did I believe it was technically feasible to build, but the fact that my brainstorming partner was an AI sort of proved the point. (I still have that convo saved.)

We built a few prototypes, created a brand, set out a roadmap, crafting the game plan for our unique architecture. We seemed to be firing on all cylinders. @MayaBakhai from @spice_cap and @arieabec from https://t.co/9wHd0h4OW0 supported us from day 1, for which we are so lucky.

And then last August, Simon passed away. We were stopped in our tracks. An immeasurable loss in so many different ways.

From there, it was a winding path. Emotionally tolling. Endless rejections. An unwieldy product as we learned to tame the beast that is a large language model.

Then we met the team at @betaworks and started AI Camp: Agents in Feb, and being part of this community has been incredible. The wisdom of @Borthwick to use this new medium to create an emotional connection, @jordanrcrook and @dens pushing us to put it all out there.

We’ve been able to create something that I have wanted to use my whole adult life.

Today is not the end, in fact we have only just made it to the starting line.

@Covid19Washoe @Covid19Washoe please stop saying this bogus number of “recovered” cases. You have zero data on how many of these #COVID19 cases turn into long haulers (you don’t ask). I’m one of so many still fighting for months, yet I was reported as “recovered” cuz I tested negative. Not cool

Exactly. #COVID19 is not a political issue. This is serious. I was a healthy 34yr-old when I got #COVID in June. Tested negative in July, yet I’m still getting new symptoms weekly and the most severe symptoms haven’t gone away. Follow the safety guidelines!
