We’re launching WillBrattonWx next week, and I’m both excited and nervous.

I’ve got an amazing crew of 10+ committed friends/chasers/freelance employees with more coming. Merch shop is ready, website is almost ready, branding looks great, studio is built. Our Discord already has 50+ verified #Wx meteorologists.

This brand gives me the opportunity to use meteorology to try to save lives. It’s my dream.

But there are challenges.

Entering the space fresh after graduation and amidst an internship before pursuing a Masters in August is going to be difficult.

Growing in a space with other talented creators will be difficult.

I’m also aware that not everything will go perfectly, especially at first.

Transparency and honesty is an integral piece of what we plan to do here.

I know I will make mistakes and I’ll never shy away from admitting them if they arise, but I’m committed to learning along the way to do the dang thing the best way it can possibly be done.

Investing in yourself is scary, but to those of you who may be considering it: I write this to encourage you to do it.

Don’t be afraid to fail. Take the leap.

That was far from the best 45 minutes from #AllForCITY

- Lots of possession, not as much direction

- A giant 44 final third entries but only 1 shot on target, Hartel's goal

- Reactive on attacking crosses, not challenging the ball enough

- Not enough bold passing

- Cordova checks to the ball to create space at times, but the ball over the top is not played to a streaking Hartel or Sangbin

A new era of weather coverage begins this June.

WillBrattonWx is launching with a mission to deliver trustworthy weather coverage without fearmongering to help save lives across the United States.

A May 2026 graduate of @msstate with a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Meteorology and a minor in Mathematics, Will combines meteorological expertise with experience in marketing, sports broadcasting, radio, and media production to deliver clear, responsible communication in an era where weather information can often be misleading or unreliable.

Will is continuing his education this fall, pursuing a thesis-based Master’s degree in Professional Meteorology at MSU while also serving as a Teaching Assistant.
