I find it really unfair for a woman to come back home after a long day at work to find a guy chilling and watching TV, waiting for her to come and cook. Women deserve better and supporting partners. Whoever knocks off early has to cook.
Ruto launches fresh effort to repair relations with churches ahead of 2027 election
President William Ruto has begun another round of engagements with senior church leaders as his administration attempts to repair relations with religious institutions that have become increasingly critical of government policy.
Ruto has met senior Catholic clergy following months of disagreements over taxation, corruption, healthcare reforms, education funding and government accountability.
The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops has repeatedly criticised the government over the transition from NHIF to SHA, university funding, taxation and what it describes as failures to listen to public concerns.
The renewed engagement comes as churches increasingly become an important arena for political messaging ahead of the 2027 election.
It’s very hard to trust someone who can’t stand for anything. Ndindi Nyoro’s timing on launching his party is perfect. Typical politician move. Dine with the beneficiaries of a rotten system when it is convenient, then suddenly switch lanes when you sense defeat, when you need to reinvent yourself, or worse, when your job is to become a mole and split votes. Because where exactly was Ndindi Nyoro when Kenyans needed him the most?
Finance Bill 2024,voted YES.
Finance Bill 2026 ,ABSENT during the decisive vote. He later acknowledged that he was out of the country and the vote happened while he was away😂😂😂
These were not ordinary moments. These were moments when Kenyans needed their elected leaders to actually stand for something, whether popular or unpopular, and have their position recorded. Now suddenly we are hearing about everything that is wrong with this country and everything that needs to change.
But here is where I struggle…
Ndindi, you have been in Parliament. Why didn’t you use your position to push the policies you are now telling Kenyans you believe in? What exactly have you done with the power you already have to bring some of these solutions TODAY, not in 2027?
You cannot disappear when the vote matters, then reappear when the political winds change and ask Kenyans to believe that you are suddenly the alternative!!
WANTAM!
