On August 3, 2020 Sergeant Jordahn Scarborough, a Legal Chief with Headquarters Battalion, was appointed to the rank of Staff Sergeant. SSgt Scarborough was “pinned on” by his Grandfather, Sergeant Jay Grigsby and his son, Jaye Scarborough.

The Headquarters and Service Battalion's Beast Slayer Squad Competition took February 21st, 2020. The 10 mile competition comprised of 5 stations around MCB Quantico that teams of 10 Marines had to navigate in order to complete the competition. Over all nine squads participated.
