My daughter is going with her mother to help out in a major chess tournament in central Bangkok for about 5 days. The hotel it's held in I stayed in once in July 2001. It's very nice and I am happy Grace is getting involved, since her very existence came about through chess.

I am situated on the outskirts of Oxford, just next to the countryside and there's nothing to do around here. So I am watching The Master Game a lot and enjoying it very much.

Chess and football can mix, especially if you are working class. I have to say, I didn't like seeing W. Ward play for Hertfordshire in 1905. Yes he was born in that county and no he isn't really one of ours but he played for us more than them as I have proven... .
