@DumbMoneyHunter Yep, inversely I got humbled on Friday and grateful for my losses, maybe I needed to take the beating and learn the lesson this time instead of a time when the $$$ is bigger. I see my tilt triggers more clearly now.
@MrZincx Yes and no .... but I have been scalping a lot and usually I don't like to think I know too much in the morning as far as "what I think should happen,( news, levels)" .... I look and say "what do I see?"
@tradeture@t0mbfx Well said. The more money a newbie (or anyone) has the more they can lose. I can start a 100k prop account challenge for $104 (or less). I can have $2000 in a Etrade account and trade options, etc.
@t0mbfx During the last could years I've blown tens of thousands on props and no, my payouts have not covered all of it. I know how brutal the market is and accepted my fate. I work or am productive 7 days a week (minus cool vacations with my girlfriend) including Uber Eats marathons
@t0mbfx I disagree. If a person is $40k in debt, increases it to $70k while learning props, he is actually beyond "broke". But if following principles, Burn ur Ships, Think and Grow Rich, etc. Then who says they can't succeeded. That person is me and I just had my 2nd $9000 week
@t0mbfx Not the norm and I definitely appreciate your post, I am able to work and earn double my living expenses and I have 20 years of stock market experience but never fully committed like the last 2 years, plus I work obsessively on changing my psychology & beliefs. Trading is tough
@nqvtrades Spent $70,000, collected $42,000 in payouts so down $28,000 and literally don't give a shit because with my experience and style, I can do this, just need to stay off tilt and shift my psychology. Glty
@nqvtrades I've spent probably $70,000 on challenges and funded accounts, a lot was on reactivation funded, thats like $650 and 800, I have compulsive side and would blow $2000in a morning on full tilt.Maybe that's what it took for me to understand myself more.I study others & my triggers
@nqvtrades That being said, I've learned to control myseld a lot, use the tools (lock out, etc.) not bragging, I've dabbled for 20 years but got serious 2 years ago. This last week I gained $9000 in 2 funded accounts, already got paid some. Limit expenses
@CK71733@nqvtrades The psychology aspect is 80% of the game imo. I read Mark Douglas and others. Yes, I failed and failed, etc. but in my opinion the actual trading and decision making needs to be dome with real money, even if it's just the fees and potential payouts
@AdamWTrades I scalp so basically a maniac some days, working on that. I pick up patterns, shorts on breakdowns, failed breakouts, etc. I've been trading unsuccessfully for years but in that time I know what I see (usually) I have traded only NQ for 2 years now, almost every day, same times
@DiegoBTrades I'm not telling people what to do but I read and follow "Think and Grow Rich", I listen to Earl Nightingale and Bob Proctor. I am reprogramming my subconscious. I also blew a ton of accounts but my income covered it, and I carry debt.I should be break even ir green this month
@DiegoBTrades@TradesWilly85 You are telling my story. For me, Im at a point where I know the "why"and can slow myself down and maybe pull it together (for the day). I am learning my triggers. 20 years on & off of "trading",really 3 years of dedication to props & NQ, now I know my block to sucess is tilt
@MoyerCapital@tradertheory That was a buy imo opinion (after that plunge) so she could have even added. All imo and yeah, I scalped the action and did pretty good on the NQ
