I'm @SephMcCaffrey, and this is where I tweet about sports.

@OleTimeHardball Yes he should be in the Hall Of Fame and so should Sammy Sosa and Alex Rodriguez and Barry Bonds and Manny Ramirez etc etc. Hall Of Honor you could have debates about but for Hall Of Fame hard to argue with their value and production for their teams / cities.

"Dan Plesac is a GENIUS."

@Plesac19 must've borrowed Greg's crystal ball before the game with this Addison Barger call 🤯

The Cubs allowed 38 fewer stolen bases in 2025 than in 2024.

It was one of the more underrated factors in their success this season.

Carson Kelly played a major role, catching 864 innings and earning a Gold Glove nomination.

Advanced metrics loved Nico Hoerner’s defense in 2025.

He led all second basemen with:
17 DRS
14 OAA
12 FRV

Each was at least TWICE as much as the next closest player.

[Carson Wolf @TheWrigleyWire]

Pete Crow-Armstrong had more 5-star catches this season than 28 of 29 MLB teams this season (excluding Cubs).

The average team made 6.4, PCA made 19.

[Andrew McCutchen @TheCUTCH22]

I was told by a rep for MLB that the balls are indeed different this year. They stated “higher seams” which produces more drag on baseball, causing baseballs to not travel as far as they should. When asked why, I was told “every baseball is hand sewn so no ball is the same.” When I asked if there is something that can be done about correcting the current performance of this years baseball, I was told there was “nothing” that can be done about it this season BUT, they are “working hard on getting to the bottom of why the seams are higher.” So, yea you’re not wrong Ben.

@OleTimeHardball What are the defensive metrics?

Chicago will always love Anthony Rizzo

Anthony Rizzo's walk-up song 'Intoxicated' plays before his 1st at-bat at Wrigley 👏

In this one I explain why I will be rooting for HangDad Dadam Page at #AEWAllOut, and the discussion / debate myself, @Gareth_eno & @SergeiAlderman had about who the #Babyface and who the #Heel is in this #AEW feud.

[Joe McCaffrey GvsB @GoodVsBadGuys]

In this week’s #AEWeekly, I talk about how across 3 shows (#AEWDynamite, #AEWRampage, & #AEWCollision), @bryandanielson showed his value to @AEW as a wrestler, a commentator, and a person.

[Joe McCaffrey GvsB @GoodVsBadGuys]

My ideal booking for tonight’s #BloodAndGuts #AEWDynamite: Mark Briscoe gets taken out before the match. Cue Orange Cassidy, someone who personifies AEW, to step in to avenge Mark Briscoe & defend AEW. 2 things Orange Cassidy can believably get fired up about: friendship & #AEW.

[Joe McCaffrey GvsB @GoodVsBadGuys]

To take it 1 step further to build towards Wembley. Before Orange Cassidy steps up, Swerve asks Bryan Danielson to join Team AEW. Whether the BCC or the doctors or Danielson say no, it’s a no. Now we have some actual conflict & friction for the All In #AEW World title match.
