A big milestone for our Destination Marketing team this week. Explore Utah Valley (@VisitUtahValley) reached 100,000 Instagram followers, the most of any county destination account in Utah!

So, of course, I had to bring Bethany some balloons to celebrate!

A huge congratulations to Bethany, who manages the account, and her intern, Tori. When Bethany joined Explore Utah Valley, the account had just 17,000 followers. Growing it to 100,000 is a remarkable achievement and a testament to her hard work.

Why does it matter? Destination marketing is a key driver of our tourism economy, bringing visitors who support our hotels, restaurants, shops, attractions and local businesses. It also showcases everything that makes Utah Valley a great place to live, giving our own residents ideas for new adventures and experiences close to home. Our brand and reputation are also critical to business recruitment, job creation and economic growth.

Congratulations to the entire Explore Utah Valley team on this incredible accomplishment. Here's to the next 100,000!
