1. Lies of P

This is one of last year's hits that was really underpraised, VERY creative concept. Pretty challenging, but fair, and the setting/worldbuilding are fantastic. 8/10

@eightleaves_ Agreed. I had to play Odin's fight a couple of times to appreciate what they were doing with it, especially after the cinematic high of the Titan/Bahamut fights. I still prefer those over Odin but you're absolutely right

@FrozenApes @zeldevil No. I could write you a whole essay on why botw's story was both designed and executed 10 times better than totk's sorry excuse for a narrative. I do not hate totk, but it is far from perfect and people are allowed to criticize that, especially fans of the series imo

@ZumpItUp It doesn't. If you're praising the memories, BOTW does that better with actual developed characters and arguably a better Link/Zelda relationship bc you actually see them interact. Totk's repeating sage memories, surface level dialogue and underuse of Ganondorf were just tragic

7. Helldivers 2

This has been sitting at my game of the year since March and I'm still playing. Endless fun for those who love over the top action with extra explosions. Very unique live war system with the whole playerbase fighting for democracy. love to see it.

6. Super Mario Galaxy

I replay this about once a year, it still holds up from childhood and will always be fun. Still funny that Mario attempted to be epic, cinematic, and even emotionally deep here and it somehow worked.
