Yesterday evening two climbers were reported to be crag fast on the "Needle", a 260m route on the Shelterstone crag. A Coastguard helicopter flew to the area direct from another tasking in Glencoe and established that assistance was required.
Interesting to see how the regeneration around isolated pines balloons out on the side of the tree opposite to the prevailing wind. With a prevailing SW wind the regeneration is on the NE side of the tree. Highlights how seed source influences the distribution of regeneration.
