What a whirlwind this past year has been! I cannot thank @AMPSCITT enough for their amazing ongoing support! Although it has been a challenging year, Im so excited that I am about to enter into the best profession..proud to say I'm
now a qualified drama teacher ๐ญ๐ฉ๐ผโ๐ซ
Very proud to report that once again 100% of our trainees who have completed our SCITT Teacher training course have gained QTS ๐Welcome to the #profession - looking forward to our #celebration event on Thursday @getintoteaching@MerseyHour
When teaching I give out two 'Performer of the Week' certificates per class. It brings the children much joy. I make sure every student gets it at least once a term. I never compare students with each other, only with their own progress. #teachingtip#edchat
Just had a lovely couple of days at a SEN school for enrichment week, which has opened up my eyes to further teaching opportunities. A trip to the careers fair today with a year 10 group and mcdonalds also wasn't too bad๐
One day left of the away school placement and its feels like those six weeks have flew by. I have had a blast with my classes (for the most part) and will be sorry to leave tomorrow. Watching KS3 perform this week and the progress they have made is a brilliant end to the term๐ญ
If students feel safe in the drama class they will be able to improvise and be creative from a place of authenticity.
To create a safe place I believe everyone should be celebrated for who they are. There must be a zero tolerance policy with bullying and negative remarks.
Mixed emotions leaving my home placement today..Happy that we are nearly a third of the way there. I'm thankful for the staff and drama teachers at my school. Sorry to leave my classes right before Christmas and Panto and finally excited for a new change at my away school!!๐ญ
