7 days without his phone… then he turned it on.

We don’t see the distractions bc we’re subjective to them.

He was completely phone-free for 7 days.
No notifications. No scrolling. No noise.
Then he opened it.
This is what came rushing back.
We’ve become so used to the constant stream that we don’t even realize how loud it really is… until it’s gone.

Phones, watches, and laptops have been locked up all week.

Today was the first time the guys got to use their devices — just to check in with family. Before they turned them on, we prayed over them.

Here’s what stood out: they were nervous!

Not because they were afraid they’d fall into something bad, but because they didn’t want to lose the freedom and clarity they’ve gained this week. That’s how real the pull of constant notifications and scrolling had become.

Nobody wants to be enslaved to their phone.

The peace they’ve felt without it has been tangible.

Would you pray for them as they re-engage with the outside world this week?

Here’s the truth for any parents following along: Your sons are safe. The odds of getting bit by something like this are extremely low especially when you’re paying attention, which these guys are.

We’ve just gotten used to thinking the outdoors is more dangerous than it really is.

Statistically, they’re in far less danger out here than they are walking around a college campus.

This is good for them.

📢The power went out on the RV tonight while the dudes were singing hymns.

No AC. No lights. Just darkness.

We flipped breakers, tried another pedestal, even plugged into 30amp. nothing worked.

After we tried everything, I told the guys, “I’ve got good news and bad news.” They wanted the bad news first.

“Bad news is we’ve got no AC and we’ll have to figure this out tomorrow.”

One of them asked, “What’s the good news, T-Mac?”

I said, “Jesus still loves you… and so do I.”

A few minutes later, this happened.
They didn’t complain. They didn’t check out. They just started singing louder.
That’s what men do. They worship well.

Please pray we can get this fixed without it costing an arm and a leg.

I’m willing to bet there’s nowhere else on the planet where 7 former athletes are sitting around listening to the NBA Finals on a radio together.

No phones. No streaming. No inappropriate commercials or clips of half dressed celebrities.

Just one radio, one game, and a group of guys locked in.

This is what happens when you take men off screens for 30 days.

Any redneck engineers out there?

Testing the water system today with the Milwaukee transfer pump.

We’re pulling straight from the Illinois River up to the elevated site. The pump is working hard, but the distance + elevation is no joke.

We’re experimenting with a relay of three tanks and also trying the “fill the tote 1/3 in the truck bed and drive it up” method.

This is the kind of gritty, practical work that’s going to make June 1–30 run smooth for the guys with clean outdoor showers after long days of labor and adventure.

Pastor Josh just flexed his CDL muscles and delivered this beast of a Class A motorhome straight onto the property.

Don’t tell the dudes tho bc I’m going to make them think they’re needing to build their own shelter for the month when they arrive 😂

A different believer saw the vision for River Reset 30 and said, “Take it for the whole month. No charge.” 🤯

That’s the body of Christ at its best! Generous, sacrificial, and Kingdom-minded people coming together to glorify the Lord.

June 1–30, six campus ministers will live, work, fight, and grow in this rig while God does deep heart surgery on them.

No screens. No porn. No excuses.

Just raw obedience, manual labor, Freedom Fight content, and high-adrenaline brotherhood.

When they drive back to their campuses in July, they’ll be stronger, freer, and better equipped to advance the Great Commission on their universities and in their cities.

We are so grateful for every believer stepping up like this and making this vision come to light.

The Kingdom is moving.

One moment it’s golden fields and quiet ponds at sunset.

The next it’s the river carving through the trees, still flowing no matter what.

This is where six campus ministers will spend June 1–30.

No phones.
No social media/p**n.
No screens.
No excuses.

Just raw off-grid living, hard manual labor with their hands, high-adrenaline days (kayaks on this river, risky hikes, caves, shooting), and daily Freedom Fight content that will tear down strongholds.

They’ll leave here unbreakable and stronger leaders, clearer vision, bolder witness ready to take real freedom back to their campuses across the country.

We’re talking major U.S. cities!

That’s the vision.
