“It is not permitted, under the laws and customs of honorable warfare, to order that no quarter be given — to apply lethal force to those who surrender or who are injured, shipwrecked, or otherwise unable to fight.

An undecided GOP senator in Indiana limited his redistricting town hall to residents of his district. What he heard, per @kayla_dwyer17:

Greg Goode was appointed to fill Sen. Jon Ford's seat, which Ford won in 2022 UNOPPOSED.
IN Dems are a shipwreck, but the bare minimum in 2026 should be to run a candidate in EVERY district, even if you're going to get trounced 70-30. You gotta put something on the ballot.
Not happy. Censorship isn’t the way.
I gave money to IU general fund for the IDS last year, so they could pay everyone and not run a deficit. I gave more than they asked for.
I told them I’m happy to help because the IDS is important to kids at IU
“Forget about how this impacts people like the CEO and his mistress, garden-variety sinners who, through a combination of terrible luck and atrocious judgment, will be famous, and hated, for the rest of their lives. You don’t have to feel sorry for them (although I admit, I kind of do; there are literal mass murderers who enjoy more anonymity and less opprobrium than these two). If there’s a truly compelling reason not to normalize shaming as a global, always-on public spectator sport, it’s not that it degrades the humanity of the shamed; it’s not even the trite ‘who among us has not canoodled at a Coldplay concert with his sidepiece’ justification. It’s simply this: When we take joy in the distress and ruination of other people, we make monsters of ourselves.” —@KatRosenfield
WTF?? Trump was just asked if he can commit that members of his admin were NOT insider trading and he said “I can commit to myself. That’s all I can commit.” If the President can’t confidently say his team wasn’t breaking the law, then we have a problem.
The @indgop is deceiving you about almost every part of this tax plan, including:
Income tax increases
Giveaways to big business
Actual property tax “cuts”
Likelihood of increased school referendums
Local government reform
