Should Journals be using part of the article processing charges (APC) to give honorarium to reviewers/editors?
Will that improve the review process or lead to some unintended (negative) consequences?
As a journal Editor struggling to find reviewers for manuscripts I am handling, I also find myself (guilty as charged) fast declining other review requests...atleast from journals with the Accept/Decline links. I just ignore those where I have to respond to an email.
