Paul McConnell was last seen at Sammy Joe’s Restaurant, in the Villages, at around 9:30 a.m., on May 9, 2023. Paul is diagnosed with diabetes and heart failure.
Symptoms of his condition include a diminished mental capacity, which has caused concern for his safety and well-being. He was last seen driving a 2018 Silver Accord bearing Florida license plate “MPDDC”. If you have any information about his whereabouts, please call 911.

CITIZENS INFORMATION LINE OPENS AT 1:00 PM
The Marion County Division of Emergency Management will be activating the Citizen Information Line today at 1:00 p.m. Citizens can call the line at 352-369-7500. Further availability of this line will be announced later today.
Emergency Management officials are also encouraging residents to sign up for our alert notification system, Alert Marion. Through Alert Marion, citizens can receive the most up-to-date information and warnings on severe storms, tornadoes, and other life-endangering events.
At this time locations for sandbags are being addressed. When we have locations and times we will post. We will continue to keep you updated as soon as we have further information.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies responded to the report of a shooting that occurred in the 17700 block of NE 22nd Court, in Citra. Upon arrival, deputies located a black male, who was deceased.
