Monton CC is hosting a former players day on Saturday 22 August & hopes to get as many past players as possible to come along. The event is not restricted to ex Monton players, with Monton&Weaste old boys especially welcome. It would be great to see other ex-@MDCAssn players too.

For all those of a certain age, walking cricket is a great way of remaining active in the game & @LancsCricketFDN promotes mixed sessions in Crumpsall, Eccles, Lancaster, Southport & Wythenshawe, with female only groups in Bolton & at Old Trafford. Come along & give it a go. 🏏

Broughton, Castleton, Castleton Moor, Cheetham (not Cheetham Hill, although that wasn’t used for cricket for a number of years), Rusholme, South Manchester (not South West Manchester) & Warrington New Town all played in the Association during its lifetime, but no longer exist.

The cricket ground has subsequently been built on, with roads with cricket-related names - Innings Drive & Outfield Close.
