Today, on Maryland Autism Acceptance Day, the Governor’s supplemental budget eliminated the 1% rate increase for Developmental Disability (DD) community services from the FY 2026 budget.

Last night, the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee announced their budget decisions for FY 2026. The Senate's decisions confirm that significant amounts of the DDA budget cuts will be restored.

DDAM recognizes the contributions that people with DD make to our communities. Maryland is stronger when people with and without DD live, learn, work and play together.

Yesterday, Governor Wes Moore and General Assembly leaders announced a framework for the final FY 2026 budget. Later in the day, the House Appropriations Committee released their budget decisions. These decisions restore significant amounts of the DDA budget.
