The way I literally screamed when this Teek-channeling character zipped across the screen. Star Wars fan service… you got me so good. Blessings on “Skeleton Crew” and David Lowery, LIVING for the “Battle of Endor” pulls.
Since the musical theater kids have the mic, I feel like now would be a good time to reveal that my favorite musical remains this one song from Oliver Richman about the tragic unending life of Punxsutawney Phil.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Congratulations @TheAmyNicholson, you absolute icon. No one loves movies and ancient Hollywood lore more than you! What a tremendous score for the @latimes https://t.co/AxiXvUkxR1
Delighted by the three nominations for the @LAPressClub National A&E Journalism Awards, including recognition for stories on Truman Capote, a behind-the-scenes breakdown of Ryan Gosling's iconic "I'm Just Ken" Oscars performance and a nod for the epic "Fallout" episode of "Making A Scene."
Yesterday was my last day at Variety. I was included in a round of layoffs and… I’m heartbroken. Working at Variety for the past seven years has been a privilege and an adventure.
I’ve experienced so many career highlights — uniting Neve Campbell and Jamie Lee Curtis, getting Werner Herzog’s thoughts on Baby Yoda — but I am especially proud of a couple of projects in particular.
I am tremendously grateful to the many Variety colleagues I’ve worked with over the years. But special attention must be paid to Variety’s web team. I’ve worked in several newsrooms nationwide, and this group stands out as the most passionate, collaborative, kind, and brilliant collection of people I’ve ever seen.
This is a batch of wildly curious and courageous journalists. If you worked on web, I am so honored to have spent so much time with you.
You changed my life for the better, and I love you all.
