@ally22t This piece is amazing I love the detail you can see on each little section with the lighting being what makes in the shading of the details as opposed to color. The choice of a single color I also think makes the piece feel bolder and gives it a metallic look
@JanamejaySharma I really appreciate this piece in the spot it was in because it is so unique the other work presented in this room and it really does look like a jellyfish.
@ALxngWayDown It reminds of the piece “Disutopian Garden - Trained Potty” I saw this week as well at the Davis Gallery at DU. You always see something new whenever you look at these pieces which adds to the fun of them as well as being able to interpret them in your own way
Week 10 Last week
This quarter I learned alot about history through the art that we looked at as a class. Exhibits like La Maliche help me explore past artwork and how it is related to modern times. I learned alot about what artists make use of to invoke feelings.
The image is of a man walking into a forest and it almost feels like it has a deeper meaning as the singular shade makes the piece feel unified and makes me ponder the example of how we as humans are connected to nature. Needing to be unified with it not destroying it
