A Palestinian man released harrowing footage documenting his ordeal during his attempted evacuation of Rafah as he desperately attempted to flee to safety. In the video, Israeli occupation forces encircled the group he was traveling with, opened fire, and killed all of his companions. Sustaining a leg injury during the assault, he took cover behind a vehicle and remained there for more than seven hours until the gunfire finally subsided. He was ultimately rescued by other displaced individuals passing through the area, who were themselves fleeing the military presence.

An hour ago, Israel carried out a terror strike on a vehicle in Gaza City. One person was killed.

Within the space of just a week, the Israeli military obliterated entire families–including a dozen children-in Lebanon, demonstrating a callous disregard for civilian lives.
How many more families will have to pull the body parts of their children from the rubble before this devastating cycle of war crimes ends?
The international community must act now: states must impose an immediate comprehensive arms embargo on Israel and use universal and extraterritorial jurisdiction to investigate and prosecute those responsible.
And the Lebanese authorities must act decisively by granting the International Criminal Court jurisdiction over crimes on their territory.
Around 18 months into his detention, Palestinian paediatrician Dr Hussam Abu Safiya continues to face torture, ill-treatment, and arbitrary detention in Israeli prisons. Israeli interrogators have reportedly sought to coerce him into confessing to offences he did not commit, while he remains imprisoned under Israel’s so-called “Unlawful Combatant” law.
Dr Abu Safiya is one of at least 14 doctors from Gaza currently held in Israeli custody without charge or trial. Their continued imprisonment has further crippled Gaza’s already devastated healthcare system.
Since the beginning of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces have killed around 1,700 healthcare workers and detained hundreds more. Many of those detained were targeted after refusing to abandon their hospitals and patients, as part of #Israel’s broader campaign to dismantle #Gaza’s healthcare system and forcibly displace its population.

I am deeply disturbed by the continued detention of prominent Palestinian doctor, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, and reports that he has been beaten while being held in Israel without charges.
Dr. Safiya must be released immediately to receive the care he needs, and must be allowed to return to Gaza to continue his lifesaving work.

A member of the European Parliament:
"Europe does nothing but express its concern about Palestine.
If you are serious, stop selling weapons to Israel.
You impose sanctions on Russia daily, but you take no action against Israel."
