Secretary General visits the residence of Jessore-4 MP Professor Golam Rasul

A delegation led by the Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Member of Parliament, Mia Golam Porwar visited the residence of Jessore district Ameer Professor Golam Rasul MP.

On Friday, July 31, the delegation visited Professor Golam Rasul MP's residence at 88/4 Nilganj, Narail Road, Monihar, Jessore, where they inquired about the recent incidents and exchanged views with local residents.

Jamaat-e-Islami's central executive council member Mobarak Hossain, and Director of the Jessore-Kushtia Region, along with Jessore District Secretary Principal Abu Jafar Siddique, Assistant District Secretary Golam Quddus, one of the leaders of the July mass uprising Shoaib Hossain, and other party leaders were present during the visit.

After inspecting different parts of the residence, Mia Golam Porwar addressed the party leaders and activists, stating that no one should reach conclusions based on rumors, misinformation, or emotions without first verifying the facts.

He said the central leadership had come to the site to learn the truth of the incident firsthand and to hear the statements of those concerned.

He emphasized that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has always stood for the rule of law, justice, and a peaceful environment. If allegations arise against any individual or family, they should be investigated through an impartial process. But taking the law into one's own hands or engaging in provocative activities is unacceptable under any circumstances.

Mia Golam Porwar further urged party members and the general public to demonstrate patience, restraint, and responsibility.

He called on everyone to avoid creating tension and to allow law enforcement agencies and the relevant authorities to carry out their duties.

He added that the truth would ultimately prevail and stressed the importance of trusting the legal process.

Secretary General also stated that maintaining peace, harmony, and a democratic environment in the country requires responsible conduct from all political parties and citizens. Political differences, he said, should never become a cause for violence, retaliation, or personal attacks.

During the visit, Professor Golam Rasul briefed the central leaders on various aspects of the recent developments. The delegation also observed the condition of the residence and listened to accounts from local residents.

Finally, the central leaders called upon the people of the country to maintain peace, order, and communal harmony. They also urged the relevant authorities to conduct an impartial investigation into the incident, uncover the truth, and take any necessary legal action in accordance with the law.
