“We’re Getting Down to the Wire” planning for a wonderful day of Thoroughbred horse racing fun this Friday for “Kentucky Oaks Day” and Saturday for “Kentucky Derby Day at the Timonium OTB” in the Maryland State Fairgrounds Grandstand. Friday, doors open at 11 AM and Tellers are on at 11:30 AM. “Kentucky Oaks” is Race 13, 8:40 PM Post. Advance wagering available on entire Churchill Card for Saturday. Congratulations Morgan C. Osborn-Wotthlie, of Union Bridge in Carroll County, for winning the Marlin K. Hoff Maryland State Fair Scholarship. Morgan attends Messiah University majoring in Business Administration and Dance, with a minor in International Business. After graduation, she plans to return to New Zealand to further her education in Sustainable Agriculture. Morgan participated in the Maryland State Fair Dairy division.
