Spring break trip to a new national park- #HotSpringsNationalPark in Arkansas. We loved the views, the hot water and the history. We filled a jug, toured the bath houses and hiked to check out Peak Trail and the tufa rock on Hot Springs Mountain. #143degrees

Heading back east and we made 2 stops that highlight amazing geology: Lassen Volcanic National Park and the Great Salt Lake. Lassen has geothermal areas with mud pots, fumaroles and examples of 4 different types of volcanoes. #AmericasBestIdea#Saltlife
Redwoods National and State Parks were next. Viewed plenty of Costal Redwoods and amazing coastline. We loved the Howland Hill Road where the “Redwoods kiss your car.” Explored tide pools as the clouds rolled in over the water.
Between mountains, we stopped at the Columbia River Gorge. We climbed Beacon Rock (of Lewis & Clark dame), explored the waterfalls and picked lavender & blueberries.
Two amazing days in Olympic National Park! The diversity is amazing from rainforests to shoreline to lakes and mountains. We loved the creatures and plants along the way.
We made it to North Cascades National Park in Washington. New park and new state for me! Good hikes through cedar, amazing peaks and gorgeous lakes with color courtesy of “glacial flour” or sediment. @NatlParkService@NCascadesNPS
Enjoying the changing scenery as we make our way west- from Badlands to Wind Cave to Grand Tetons! Big changes in a few days. @NatlParkService#AmericasBestIdea
@vianneygriffins Coach Mohr was one of the first people we met at Vianney, on Grants Trail for summer running. He continued to be an amazing presence during our son’s 4 years at CC & track meets as well as band concerts & plays. Many thanks for his dedication & care. He was Vianney.
