NHS Blood Tube Shortage
With the international shortage of blood test bottles we will only be booking urgent bloods at this moment in time.
These appointments will mostly be booked by the clinicians themselves.
If you are aged 12-15, and you are classed as being at increased risk from Covid, or you live with someone who is, you will be contacted by the NHS to book your vaccine at specially arranged clinics.
You can also book the appointment yourself by telephoning 0116 497 5700.

From Monday 19th, nothing will change at the Unit. Staff will continue to wear PPE & patients will be required to wear coverings inside the building. Continuing to wear coverings protects everyone who comes to the Unit, especially the young, elderly and vulnerable.
Although restrictions will be easing across the country on July 19th, ourselves and the rest of the NHS Healthcare Settings will be continuing to ask everyone to wear face coverings when entering the Medical Unit.
A reminder that we will be closed this afternoon for staff training from 1:00pm onwards, reopening as normal tomorrow morning.
Apologies for any inconveniences caused.
