On Thursday, June 4, 2026, I had the honour of joining the Special Occasion organized by Abeka Traditional Authority for the Lifting of the Ban on Drumming and Noise-Making Ceremony.
The occasion also served as a durbar to foster reconciliation between the Royal Family and the good people of Abeka. Unity, togetherness, and peaceful coexistence remain essential pillars for the growth and development of every community.
As part of my visit, I donated assorted items to Abeka Traditional Authority ahead of the Homowo festivities and also made an undisclosed cash donation in support.
Present at the ceremony were former Constituency Chairman George Commey, Alhaji Musah Laar, Chairman of the Council of Elders, and Mr. Eric Nii Ashie, Constituency Chairman.
Today, at the premises of the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG), Osu, Accra, a delegation led by Nana Kwaku Agyei Kodie I, on my behalf, presented 250 packs of bottled water to the Christian Council of Ghana.
The donation was received by the Clergy of the Council, including Rev. Enoch Thompson, Chairman of the Council; Rev. Dr. Cyril Fayose, General Secretary of CCG; and Dr. Joyce Steiner, Director of Programmes of CCG.
Receiving the items, Rev. Enoch Thompson expressed sincere appreciation for my continuous commitment and support towards the work of the Council and thanked me for the gesture.
This donation forms part of my annual support to the Christian Council of Ghana and reflects my unwavering commitment as an Ambassador of the Council.
