A clarification for those whom aren’t familiar with the Tunisian situation: We have a deeply corrupt football federation that is primarily responsible for choosing players instead of the coach, doing that to allow local clubs, players, and their favorite players to receive compensation from tournaments. Sacking the coach was a blow from the presidency to the federation, and I think they will have to explain themselves back home and hopefully get what they deserve legally. Tunisia’s failure in this tournament might seem like a loss… but for us it is a win , now we can start from 0 — going from 14th place worldwide a few years ago to this bad speaks volumes about the state of sports in our country. And on a personal note, I’d like to thank the Japanese fans for acknowledging our fair play… few recognize what this sport, and all sports, is about. The Japanese team has become an amazing team and deserves respect for what they are doing, and their system should be deeply studied
