A young girl & her father enters OPD
14y and is deeply jaundiced
Teary eyed, her father requests ONLY one thing
"She's advised liver transplant. We are poor. Can you please help us avoid it?"
I look at the girl the father
& brace myself for the worst case I'd ever seen...
Look I just wanna be 8 years old again, coming home from school on a rainy day and eating a sandwich whilst I watch Arthur followed by Mona the Vampire.
Adult life is overrated.
If you make a medical student feel bad for not knowing something on rounds, they’re not wrong, you are.
They've been doing this for weeks, you've been doing this for years to decades.
And if they knew everything you know, you wouldn't need to be there. #MedTwitter
The situation in U.K. healthcare is very bad and if it’s not sorted out soon it’s going to get MUCH worse.
The number of med students I know who are already DONE with the NHS having not even graduated is actually wild.
Management consultancies, jobs abroad, startups etc.

Postgraduate doctors are *not* children. 👶🏼
It is not acceptable to infantilise doctors for not completing surveys. 🚫
Punishment reflections are not good learning. ⛔️
ARCP is not about punishment. ❌
Can we cut this garbage out? #medtwitter
In the Islamic holy book, the Qur’an a chapter is dedicated to the bee, called An-Nahl. This literally translates to ‘The Bee’ & it describes the bee’s way of life, & how Muslims should be more like them.
For #WorldBeeDay we are celebrating the bee in Islam 🐝

With summer right around the corner and the days getting hotter. Lola is concerned you lot aren't taking care of your skin. Your body is a temple and Lola is helping you look after it. Be honest, do you wear suncream? Bet you don't!
@hmohammedxx I remember first year of medical school when our tutor who is a neurologist said you must be able to use a fundascope before you are a F1 😶 that point imposter syndrome was created
"To succeed, make sure that each day you study 1 hour, exercise 1 hour, read 1 hour, spend time with family and friends for 1 hour, relax for 1 hour, sleep 7-8 hours, cook your own meals, cultivate hobbies..."
