Grade 5/6’s launched their new science units yesterday with Ghost Rockets! 5’s looking at Newton’s Third Law of motion (action & reaction). 6’s investigated how the chemical reaction in the rocket creates energy, which is transformed into kinetic energy during the rockets flight.

What an awesome day of learning we had with Mr. Spencer from the Quinte Regional Science and Techology fair. Through exciting demonstrations, we learned about quantitative and qualitative observations, how to ask THICK questions and how to create hypotheses! @alcdsb_shrb
