🍂 White Dew Turns to Frost
White Dew (Bailu) is the 15th of China's 24 solar terms, marking the moment summer's heat fades and morning dew begins to form — pale and delicate on the grass, like scattered pearls.

In Xishan, near Wuxi, this season carries a gentle tradition — brewing glutinous rice wine. Freshly harvested rice is mixed with fermentation starter and sealed in clay jars, left to steep as the air turns cool. When opened, the wine glows soft amber — sweet, warming, and mellow. It's a quiet toast to the harvest, and a calm welcome to the cold ahead.

One sip, and summer's warmth seems to soften into autumn.
