Today, our government introduced new legislation to protect our kids online. Canada's Safe Social Media Act will hold social media and AI platforms accountable, make them safer, and restrict access to social media for children under 16.
More and more kids are suffering from anxiety, depression, self-harm, and exploitation. To keep our kids safe, we have to ensure that our laws keep up with technology.
I feel like @facebook is invading my privacy by asking for my ID so it can make sure I am really me!?!
Guess what, @facebook, my friends know who I am. I do NOT want you or the government to k ow who exactly I am. And any "buyers" - i don't ask fir ID each cashier, do you?
So how about fuck you, @facebook for asking me for an ID! I don't care what pretenses you use as an excuse. If you hae been unable ao far to find out if I am a real human, then you really suck at this.
@BenRabidoux Ha ha! If only it worked this way!
But hey, at least it would be a hell of a lot easier to start a civil war or, better yet, independent enclaves of different ethic groups. Ha ha! Canada is fucked!
@MarioNawfal Is this all a price worth paying just so that US cororations can sell their natural gas to Europe?
Is this the price Ukraine was prepared to pay for the pipe dream of NATO and EU membership?
War is a meatgtinder, transforming blood and human flesh intoprofits for greede fucks.
A government desperate to avoid a debt default will always do three things.
#1. It prints money.
#2. It enacts tariffs / raises taxes.
#3. It starts a war.
Go back through American history. The Spanish-American War of 1898 followed the financial crisis of 1893 and a slew of Republican tariffs.
Our involvement in the First World War followed the Panic of 1907, which led to the imposition of an income tax on top of tariffs.
America’s entry into the Second World War followed the Great Depression and the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of June 1930 — a 50 percent across-the-board tariff that produced retaliatory tariffs from two dozen countries and a 65% collapse in international trade by 1934.
When the elites' financial dominance is threatened by the government’s inability to finance its debt, they will start a war – every single time.
What about the Constitution?
Congress has only formally declared war eleven times in American history. The last time was in 1942 against Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary.
It has authorized force without a declaration of war twice — the 1991 Gulf War and the 2003 Iraq War. (Note: both authorizations were procured by manufactured evidence – aka, lies.)
Since 2004, the United States military has launched ~150 separate foreign interventions without any Congressional approval, including the seven-month Libya war, the ten-year campaign across Iraq and Syria, and a targeted-killing program that has run for two decades across Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, and a dozen other countries.
Anyone who believes a single word Trump says about "winning" the war with Iran has no idea what its real purpose has been all along.
Sincere question you should ask yourself right now: If virtually all Americans are against us starting foreign wars, then why does the government that we supposedly elect, keep starting them?

@MPelletierCIO Job numbers by themselves are meaningless. How much these jobs will pay and who wojld pay for them is MUCH more important.
If they are mostly government jobs that will be paid by more debt, well, what is the point? Same if they are only low level or temp jobs.
@MikePunko@Tablesalt13 Ah, jesus, the overprotective instinct. Not much lighting? Are you serious? Ever heard of flashlights and headlights.
Just put up a signe use at iwn tisk after dark and done.
Stupid laws with stupid exuses designed for stupid people, I suppose.
@ronmortgageguy Because, Ron, canadians vote and are catered to. The immigrants will be serving coffee and donoughts to fat government paid cats. It is not sustainable, but just like slavery can be very profitable for some.
