I've been working towards making a Mega Man Robot Museum, but I need major help. If you are proficient with the following and would like to help this become a reality, please contact me!
Unreal
Animation
Environment Art
Audio
Programming
Music
Any other relevant skills
Sure why not.
I'm thinking of making a virtual Mega Man Robot Museum as a tribute project in the same vein as the Project Memoria: Final Fantasy IX Tribute. Not sure how far I can take it or if it will ever be finished, but we'll see.
@themmnetwork@chelzie@MrMegaManFan The 3d print files are on my gumroad. Nice to see photos of the finished result posted online! Although there is a little error in the article: on top of modeling the original model, I was also the one who posed it and set it up for 3d print.

Progress Snapshot 2024/2: Rigged a lot more characters.
In other news, I will be severely winding down by work on this in the coming months. My scope will be to get animations finished for the MM1-MM6 not done yet, implement them in the museum, and release what's been (1/?)
And I'm trying to get back in the game industry, but the fact of the matter is that PS2/PS3 fidelity models isn't impressive on a demo reel and I need to pivot to something more impressive looking at the moment. Anyway, look forward to whenever I release what's been done (4/4)

Progress Snapshot 2024/1: I tried to add an improvement to the rig with ever consecutive rig I made. For example, I'd add soft IK, squash and stretch, or better limb scaling options. In a way, it's like you're building robots, always try to improve on the next iteration.
So after the MM1-6 anims are implemented, this project will go on an indefinite hiatus. Maybe I'll come back to it in a few decades, maybe not. But thanks for following my progress for as long as you have. It's just at this time, Mega Man is limiting my growth (3/?)

Progress Snapshot 2023/12: Rigged a bunch more robot masters. A lot of robot master specific rig parts like Tomahawk's Indian headdress and Knight's retractable ball and chain, but the biggest pain in the butt was rigging Flame Man's hose which had two anchor points.

Progress Snapshot 2023/11: I started rigging a bunch of robot masters. I was let go from PlayStation Visual Arts the month prior so it was time to learn more about rigging and skinning. These were my first rigs that I would improve consecutively over the coming months.

I textured the last Mega Man model I ever intended on modeling, the unused purple Bunby from Mega Man 10. After that I started skinning and rigging. The rigs in here are from an early version of my rig which improved significantly now and the coding is badly written but it works.

Progress Snapshot 2023/12: Textured the Stardroids, and all the museum staff which are based off of cut enemies. I gave them internal names based off of music terms although the name wasn't necessarily something that would've been revealed or used in-game.

progress Snapshot 2022/11: Textures the Genesis Unit and Sunstar and the Stardroids. Similar to my Mega Man 6 models, I changed the skin tone of the Stardroids based on their proximity to the sun, where the closer or farther they are to the sun, the darker and lighter the skin.

Progress Snapshot 2022/10: Textured the rest of the 6s and the Killers + Quint. I hope people see the massive amount of years of work involved just to create these models throughout the years by showing month to month progress snapshots!

Progress Snapshot 2022/09: Textured half the Mega Man 6 bots. I felt like changing their skin tone from the default white to something to better match the nationality each robot master is thought to come from using the skin tone of the closest Street Fighter equivalent.
When I say default white, I mean to explain the default white skin tone that the Mega Man series used for every character in the classic series, not to imply that white is default.

Progress Snapshot 2022/07: Finished texturing the 4s and 5s. When I finished making Dust Man and Crystal Man, I wondered how Yusuke Murata would feel if he saw the designs he did in his youth in 3d, I kind of wanted to make 3d prints of them for him. Maybe someday he'll notice!
