Teenagers who have strained relationships with parents, who have been abused may become pregnant early to fulfill social longings and comfort. Social workers identifying this early may help lead them in a different direction. #TarletonCWF22

As a school social worker it is our job to focusing on the children who struggle with poverty, paying close attention to this could decrease adolescents becoming pregnant and anticipate greater opportunities. #TarletonCWF22

@gmaciastsu I agree with you 100%, school is a huge impact on children especially if they are struggling at home already. Not only do teachers need to focus on their education, but as well as their physical and mental well being. Children may look at school as their safe place.
The military has been called the “great equalizer” socioeconomically. Young people from lower socioeconomic levels may not be able to get training beyond high school and find out they can do so serving the military and receive benefits. #TarletonCWF22
@Pandamh98 Hi Maria, I agree with you social media is huge right now and could easily promote violence. When children witness violence it is more likely they will express violence at school or home.
