🚨Despite 53% of UK teenagers knowing a stroke survivor, 40% don’t know calling 999 is the first thing you should do if someone is having a stroke. And over half of UK teenagers were unaware of the FAST acronym. #PassFASTon this #WorldStrokeDay and you could save a life #WSD2022
Happy #AHPsDay! Here's a selection of our amazing Allied Health Professionals. AHPs come in many disciplines, and are the 3rd largest workforce in the NHS. A huge thank you to them all for providing brilliant care all year round. #AHPsDay2022
What is a stroke? It is...
Scary
Confusing
Lonely
Exhausting
It's a leading cause of adult disability & it changes lives in an instant. But the brain can adapt, & so can you. Please share so more people can hear what stroke means to survivors, as part of #StrokeAwarenessMonth.
15 months completed in Neuro Rehab✅ I couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing MDT who have supported me in learning so much. Now onto inpatient stroke 🧠
Across the UK #OccupationalTherapists do vital work getting people out of hospital, back into their own homes 👏
Great to see the work of one such OT, Lindsey Fisher at the geriatric assessment unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, covered in @BBCScotlandNews https://t.co/nh1Be6rfaj
From beginning to manage my own caseload, I cannot believe that today I discharged my first patient who I’ve followed the whole OT process with from initial interview to discharge home. Absolutely loving working in Neuro Rehab😁
Still in shock that I’ve finally accepted my first band 5 role on the rotation with @MidYorkshireNHS! So excited to start my next journey as a qualified occupational therapist 😆💚
Can’t believe I’ve officially qualified with a first class honours degree and start my first job as an actual Occupational Therapist on Monday😱😄💚 absolutely over the moon!!
